pileated31 A remarkably inspired ambient work of art that incredibly reflects the beauty of Nature under brilliant but fading Evening Light! Resonates so much with my own Nature Trail experiences. Thank you Meg Bowles! Fan in the nineties. Good stuff then but this release is truly transcendent and timeless! Favorite track: Evensong.

socksluvsboots Meg employs her classical training to weave together melodic, rhythmic music rather than static, flat hum sometimes popularized in the ambient field of music. I never tire of her music's beauty and depth, rendered on a most accessible plain.

Berkdrums This came as a total surprise for me...! After all these years and the beautiful, immersive ‘The Shimmering Land’... This new album is yet another one of Meg’s monumental soundsculptures I just can’t stop playing... To me there’s an instant feeling of inner-peace when I listen to her work and this one is no exception! It feels majestic almost.. Fans of Roach, Max Corbacho, Thom Brennan, Jonn Serrie and other immersive / space-ambient artists: don’t hesitate, grab this phenomenal album! Lucky for us Meg still releases her work on CD!! One of the top-releases this year for me...

about

Deep space drifts and rich harmonic textures reflect the timeless, ritual spaces of evening, a tribute to planet Earth.

"As the sky takes on the deep blue glow of evening, the time-bound bustle of day melts into the timeless dream space of night. For me, to take a walk in the waning light along the lake where I live has become an informal yet sacred ritual practice to process the day and re-center myself, either in solitude or with my husband, most often with a dog or two. My heart becomes calm when I listen to the evening songs of birds and the rustlings of animals, and I never tire of observing how the water glimmers and reflects the softening colors of dusk. Often I will find myself gazing at the sky, filled with gratitude for our planet Earth and for the gift of being present to witness all of her ever-changing beauty. These tracks all reflect bits and pieces of my own journey—including moments of joy as well as struggle—that have been evoked by this quiet but powerful time of evening, when darkness stretches across the land and the light moves to the other side of the earth." -Meg Bowles
